Station Libertad 11

Novel Summary

In a future where humanity has achieved harmony and galactic expansion, Station Libertad 11 stands as one of the most advanced technological wonders. This station houses citizens in ViVi (Virtual Life) mode, individuals who have chosen to extend their existence within a controlled digital environment.

Four young recruits—Alan, Génesis, Aarón, and Aria—arrive at the station for rigorous training to become operators responsible for maintaining this vast system. Throughout their journey, they go through various learning stations, exploring themes such as responsibility, fear, faith, and community. As part of their training, they experience simulations of humanity’s past Eras, periods of conflict and suffering that ultimately led to the utopian 5th Era.

In the Era 1 simulation, the protagonists live in a world where humanity survives under the constant threat of "zumbadores"—drones programmed to eliminate adults under certain conditions. In this hostile environment, they discover the true value of community and human resilience. Alan, in particular, struggles with an existential crisis, questioning the meaning of his life in a universe where everything seems predetermined and controlled.

Guided by their mentor Diego and the station’s AI in the form of a cat, MOCHI, the young recruits must overcome emotional and philosophical trials that challenge their perspectives. As their training nears its end, they uncover a profound truth: they themselves had chosen this path in past lives.

Their friendships, their training, and even their struggles were not coincidences—they were intentional choices made across lifetimes to grow together and prepare for their roles in preserving humanity’s legacy. This revelation transforms their understanding of their purpose, proving that their journey is not just about operating the station, but about fulfilling a destiny they once set for themselves.
